Residency Verification Request Form

The Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME) is the primary source for podiatric residency verifications. CPME records date back to when residencies were first approved in the mid-1960s and fellowships were first approved in 2000. CPME writes formal letters of verification as opposed to filling out questionnaires or forms.

To request verification of a podiatrist’s completion of a CPME-approved residency and/or CPME-approved fellowship, complete the required fields below. The fee for a verification letter is $50 and it is charged to all individuals and entities. After your request has been submitted, a staff member will email you an invoice. The fee must be paid before the verification letter is written by staff and sent. The fee can be paid by check or credit card. Note that the typical turn around time for verifications is 5-10 days.

Podiatrists currently in a CPME-approved residency or fellowship program who are scheduled to complete training at the end of the current training year (June 30), can request verifications after October 1.

CPME does not keep records for completion of clerkships or preceptorships and cannot verify them.

To request a college verification letter, contact the APMA Membership department.
